Juanma Gonzalez is a Spanish visual artist who since 2015 lives and works in Alby. He has a Master from Royal College of Visual Arts in Stockholm since 2016. His artistic practice circles around walks as a method for aesthetical and psychogeographical exploration of the vicinity. Through developing different projects in Sweden, Finland and Norway, he has historically, culturally and socially been able to compare differences and similarities between the Nordic and the South European countries – preferably Spain and Portugal. His research has continued through scholar education: Research_LAB at KKH (2017) and ”Sites and Situations” at Konstfack (2018).

His latest artwork is ”Apostlahästar på Gotland”, a three week walk on Gotland in July 2017, where the participants of the art project used medieval churches along the road as landmarks. In June 2018, he did ”Wanderscapes”, with support from Stockholm Stad, Nordiska konstförbundet and Spanish Embassy. He arranged a four day route through and around Stockholm city.

Juanma González studied Media in Madrid (graduation 1999) and has more than 15 years experience of Design and creativity.
